Mr. Jacky Shen | Piano Teacher

- Current School Role: Full-time Music Teacher at Northmead Creative and Performing Arts High School, teaching HSC and Selective Music classes.

● Recorded a selection of sonatas for the 2MBS Fine Music Sydney Showcase.

Miss. Lara Dowdeswell | Violin Teacher
Teacher Summary:
- Winner of multiple national competitions; including and not limited to KPO Concerto Competition, and John Curro National Youth Competition.
- Has numerous years of teaching experience, both with private students and at teaching studios around Sydney.
- Won the Corinna D’Hage Mayer String scholarship.
- Lara has been a part of the Australian Youth Orchestra (AYO) since 2022 and has been on tour performing on some of the biggest stages in Europe.
- Lara is currently at the Conservatorium of Music with Corinna D’Hage Mayer String scholarship studying under the renowned teacher Janet Davies.

Ms. Kate Xu | Percussion 架子鼓/交响打击乐老师
- Kate老师7岁开始学习打击乐，师从上海交响乐团打击乐首席周雄，并以优异成绩考入上海师范大学音乐表演专业。在校期间，他曾获全国青少年打击乐比赛师范类团体金奖，并参与多项国际交流演出及上海世博会宣传片拍摄。毕业后，他从事音乐教育近15年，教学经验丰富，并担任上海爱乐乐团客座打击乐演员，年均演出50余场。他指导学生在IPEA打击乐比赛中多次获奖，荣获优秀教师称号。2012年，他被授予上海音乐家协会及上海打击乐协会荣誉会员及终身会员。

- Qualification: Bachelor of Music (Music Education), Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
- Specialisation in Classical Piano Performance.
- Extensive experience teaching piano to students of all ages, specialising in young beginners and young adults.
- Full-time Music Teacher at a selective high school
- Fully familiar with and prepares students for the AMEB examination system.
- Experienced in preparing students for practical and theory exams

Mr. Sun Park | 大提琴老师
- Experienced Cello Teacher
- Orchestral Cellist
- Master's graduate in Cello from Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussel and Conservatory Royal De Liege, has studied under prestigious mentors in Korea and Europe.
- Sun has collaborated with esteemed instructors in Korea and Europe, including Kim Son Young (Chongshin University), Armin Fromm (Violoncello Musikhochschule in Dusseldorf), Viviane Spanoghe (Koninklijk Conservatorium Brussels), Sebastian Walnier (La Monnaie Opera), Jean-Pol Zanutel (Conservatory Royal De Liege), and Jean-Pierre Borboux (Orchestre Philharmonique Royal de Liege).
- With a wealth of experience in orchestral projects, recordings, and global teaching, Sun once served as a cello section tutor at the Yong-In City Youth Orchestra.

Mr. Frank Xia | 长笛老师

- Frank began his flute journey in the 10th grade under the guidance of Kiri Sollis, a renowned flutist and lecturer at the ANU School of Music, as well as the principal flutist of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra.
- He further honed his skills under the mentorship of Hans-Dieter Michatz, a German-Australian flutist, and Tracey O'Leary, former flutist of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra. His dedication to mastering the flute continues to drive his passion for musical excellence.

- Shawn Tong is a highly accomplished clarinetist with a distinguished educational background, having studied under renowned mentors such as Anthony McGill, Principal Clarinetist of the New York Philharmonic; Deborah Chodacki, Clarinet Professor at the University of Michigan; and Fan Lei, Clarinet Professor at the Central Conservatory of Music.
- Shawn's teaching approach is characterized by a keen ability to tailor lessons to suit each student's unique personality and learning needs.
- In terms of performance, Shawn's achievements include winning first prize at the 2018 Boston International Youth Wind Music Competition, participating in numerous symphonic and chamber music concerts with the National Youth Orchestra of the United States, and presenting a solo concert at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music in 2023.
- Shawn also specialises in teaching AMEB clarinet grades, particularly focusing on beginners through to advanced levels.
